For the attention of Niles {Redacted}

In regards to the incident last night involving your colleague.

As you now know we have had him under surveillance for some time under suspicion of being a member of the insurgent group known as Late Arcane.

We believe he was responsible for leaking the source code of the Velc app to the other members of the group.

The events of last night are as follows. We had him under close surveillance. In the early evening he left his house and drove a short distance across the city. He then met with a member of Late Arcane and handed over the latest revision of the Velc source code

From there he returned home, switched on his gaming console but was interuppted by a phone call. This was from a member of Late Arcane informing him of our surveillance and his imminent arrest.

We took this as our cue to enter his property. However he then went to his bathroom cabinet and took a quick acting poison. He was dead by the time we opened the door.

We currently have your mutual aquaintance Sam {REDACTED} held for questioning as well as his wife Jemeni and their 8 year old son.

We appreciate your preliminary work on the recordings from his compromised device, especially those from last half hour of his life. We have attatched here some random excepts from the last week of his Velc app output. We hope you can further determine what damage Late Arcane has done and what the ramifications are for us going forward.

All we know so far is that their entry point was via a corrupted version of the options menu, specifically Option 4 : Friends and Family.
